I get it, though. I always wear my hair past my chin because I'm sensitive about it. But I agree. Well, actually, a vandyke does add some definition without being a chin strap. Chin straps are never a good idea, ever.

Hmm, I see exactly what you mean. It's kind of like a little cloud of hair stuck on the chin without doing much for shape.

I went and looked up a Van Dyke and it appears that technically it is the type my brother has. I always just thought of it as goatee.
