Same here.

The only thing the bomb format does is make the hiatuses that much longer. We could've had new material for a month and a week every time.

(Anonymous) 2016-01-22 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
The first one, even the second one were okay by me.

Now it seems to be the only way they release new content and I kinda hate it.

There are worse scheduling formats. Like waiting a month between each Gravity Falls episode.

(Anonymous) 2016-01-22 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
okay TRUE

It's been about 2 or 3 months for the final episode, we're not getting it until the middle of February. It kills hype so much.

I thought it was fine when I thought it was going to be a one-time thing.
Now it's just... please stop, I can't guarantee I'll be home at 5:30 every single day of the week and the fandom is so bad about tagging spoilers. Plus, 24h isn't enough time to really dig into an episode and analyze it, which is half the fun (it's also not enough time to really exploit the meme potential, which is the other half of the fun).

Bursts of new content followed by months of radio silence are terrible for any show, especially when it's target demo relies on regularity to keep them interested. Kids can and will stop caring about a show once they've seen a given rerun a certain number of times, especially a show with such strong continuity as SU. If the powers that be want this show to succeed, they need to ditch the bomb format or reserve it for special occasions.

I'm with you anon. This is yet another reason I hate how Cartoon Network treats its content. (Other than all the times it's fucked over my favorite fandom.)

Yeah :^\ If only it didn't go bomb>hiatus>bomb>one month of episodes>hiatus.

I mean, having a new episode everyday is actually pretty cool, but it's not really worth it in the end.

(Anonymous) 2016-01-23 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't mind it until they started doing it all the time. Is it really helping with the ratings at all? I just want a new episode to look forward to every week. :(

(Anonymous) 2016-01-23 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
I'm pretty sure at this point the only people who like this format are the network execs

It took me a second to figure out that was a silhouette of Steven with a bomb fuse, and not a blobby turd bomb.
