How much and what do you read?

If you can't come up with anything, mention what you've read in the past three months or so.

Are we talking books, or just anything?

Well, for the past four year, it's been manuals and Cisco-propiertar ymaterials for computer networking, but I do push in the yearly Wimpy Kid book and Ever After High book when I can.

otherwise, I have the entire Cirque Du Freak series on my phone that I read in the downtime.

70% of what I read is fanfic because I hate carrying books around (and I also hate buying ebooks). The remaining 30% is whatever book is by my bed that I read at night and magazines/newspapers.

Last term I was studying English lit, so then I read at least one book a week in addition to lots of poetry. Other than that I really haven't read a lot for pleasure lately, so now just uni related things (History. Lots and lots of history).

The last book I finished was The Priory by Margaret Wasser, and I ordered a bunch of gothic novels from my library but... I had to wait for them and now I'm in the mood for something else. Like a cute, well-written contemporary f/f romance.

I try to read for at least an hour a day. I read in all genres, but it's usually sci-fi or fantasy, some classics, original slash or femslash ebooks, and fanfiction.

For non-fiction it's usually history/culture stuff, or books on writing.

I read things like "All About Asset Allocation" for fun. My life is not exciting

Science articles and manga, basically.

Was given Marie Kondo's tidying book for Christmas, which I ploughed through in a day. Also was given Serena Mackesy 'A simple life' for Christmas. Never read anything by her before though.

Trying to catch up on the classics at the moment. About to finish working through the Bronte sisters, next on to Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

Also tend to reread my favourite fics before I go to sleep.

I read probably 2-3 books a week, they know me by name at the library. At that rate, there's way too many books to list. It's been mostly Star Wars, YA books, and sequels or books by authors I've already read.

I got sucked in to the terrible thing that is Reylo fanfiction and so I'm reading that constantly.

I'd say I read around 100 books every year, half of it "adult"/"general audience" novels and half of it children's and young adult. All kinds of novels: historical, science-fiction, fantasy, thriller, romance... Plus, the occasional non-fiction book on science or theology because I have odd tastes and interests like that.

I read as much as I can afford. Normally I order at least half a dozen books from The Book People each month and then supplement it with trips to the local bookstore or orders from ebay until I feel well enough about my finances to order another box. Normally this amounts to about a dozen books each month and me feeling very ashamed at my lack of self control.

I read middle grade stuff as well as British literature mostly.

Technology and news-related articles daily, sci-fi and fantasy novels whenever I get the chance (just finished Robin Hobb and Kameron Hurley's new books, moving on to Ancillary Mercy), and books from other genres whenever I get a recommendation from somebody whose taste I trust.

Some months I'll read between five to ten books, and other months I won't get around to reading much of anything. I have a bad tendency to binge on non-fiction stuff, and then getting worn out and binging on old ass fiction stuff.

Not as much as I'd like to, honestly. Mostly urban fantasy, when I do get to. I devoured all the extant Generation V books by ML Brennan recently, and I just discovered Sniegoski's Remy Chandler books and am going through them at a good clip. I love Rob Thurman, Kevin Hearne, Larry Correia, and KA Stewart, and generally pick their books up the day they come out. Carrie Vaughn is a perennial favorite, and I can't wait to see what she does next now that the Kitty books are done. Dan Wells is just brilliant, though his UF slides more into the horror scale.

If I was to make a list of all the UF I've read lately, I'd be here all day. So much good stuff out there. David B. Coe, Anton Strout, and Myke Cole are others I enjoy.

Less these days than I used to. It used to be three or four books a week, maybe more if I was blitzing through a series or something, but the last couple of years I don't manage half that much. I've replaced some of it with fanfic, I think. I've never lived anywhere without joining the local library the week I move there.

I normally read genre stuff, sci-fi, fantasy, crime, mystery. Not much horror. I do read below my age group, more kid's books than YA but that too. I'm mostly there for adventure and worldbuilding, so I tend to steer clear of anything with too much romance in. (In YA, anyway, I have a soft spot for a few adult paranormal romance series). I read little bits of everything, really.

I've totally been slacking off on reading for the past year or so, but I did read something this month: a really bad book called Whitney and Bobbi Kristina.

It really depends. Right now I'm only reading studying stuff. Because the little free time I have, my brain can't handle reading.

When I'm not preparing for the bar I usually read for fun at least a couple hours a day. Usually fantasy or scifi. Sometimes true crime or other nonfiction on topics that interest me (volcanoes, Russian history, general history, social justice issues).

I enjoy classic literature, and last book I finished was Count of Montecristo. NEVER AGAIN! It took me years to finish. I started Faust but it's on hiatus because I don't have time to read. Been meaning to pick some Sherlock Holmes short stories to read.

Aside from that, just short fics here and there.

Kind of varies depending on how busy I am. Been really busy late, so not much reading at all.

I read maybe... 2 books a week? Which is not as much as I used to read, thanks to time limitations. The subjects are mystery, fantasy, horror, historical fiction with some non-fiction (history, true crime) thrown in. I read very little fanfic. I've got nothing against it, but when I look for fanfic it's to fill an impulsive craving for a specific kind of story, and I never manage to find what I want.

I read all the time. It's my main form of entertainment. I read a ton of fanfic, but I also read regular books. Budget issues means i don't get to buy books as often as i'd like (and my little local library is...little) but I love to read sci-fi, some fantasy (picky about that) historical/biographical stuff, and yes, some YA and kids books (I recently read the first couple books in the 'Raven Cycle' series, and yearly read The Secret Garden and Laura Ingalls books).

I also go back again and again to my favorites, so some books i've read i've literally read every year since I've owned them, so fifteen, twenty, thirty, forty times.
