Eh. People can read what they want. *shrugs*

While I don't like a lot of super popular YA (Throne of Glass or Mara Dyer for example), there are quite a few I read and really enjoy. They're easy to digest and sometimes I just need a story I can read in a day or two and it doesn't mean they're somehow less important or well written.

I just always am a bit sad when someone on tumblr asks for recs for a specific thing (LGTB+, main characters of color, dystopia, taking place on a space ship or whatever) and I just *know* the perfect books for rec, BUT the person only wants YA. Still no judgement (especially when that person is in that age range), but I may pout a little about not being able to share my favs. Especially when I think that they're not really all that much different? As in, there is just no teenage main character and the writing is a bit different or whatever the qualification for YA is these days.
