My The Force Awakens Spaced AU is almost done. Come hell or high water I'm finishing tonight because I need to move on to the sequel of my first fic. I don't think you can call it a Spaced AU anymore, because it's nowhere as funny as the TV show and I am knee-deep into angst territory, but it's cool.

Also, that shit is longer than my failed master's thesis. Priorities, I have them.

I'm participating in my first ever Big Bang (it started now so it wouldn't conflict with the holiday season and all the writing events that come with it) and I'm PRETTY EXCITED

I'm currently trying to force myself out of my depressive funk long enough to type out a short erotic story based on a /d/ prompt. I'm having a lot of fun thinking out the dynamics between the characters (kindly but attention-sucking sorceress rediscovering long-lost spells, awkward and self-conscious friend with a long-hidden crush on her, and the former's incredibly goofy husband), but actually sitting in a chair and typing it all out feels beyond me right now.

This happens to me too. The only thing that helps is to actually start writing, I find that as soon as I make myself put pen to paper the funk starts to go away. I know that's not as easy as it sounds when you're depressed, though.

What is /d/ btw? Is it femmedomme?

/d/eviant. The original prompt actually related to conjoinment (hence the magical stuff.) I'm going for a bit more of a sentimental tone than the prompt, though.

Still working on the sequel to my last book. Illness has made it take forever and ever and ever. But I'm getting close to the end \o/

Slowly working on finishing up my NaNo-novel and whenever inspiration strikes I write a bit on a fluffy, domestic post-Trespasser Dragon Age fic (Cullen/F!Trevelyan) that will probably never leave my computer as it is very self-indulgent.

trying to write some short romance stories

I have like two sentences

Writing some awkward first time smut.

I'm the anon who asked about YA yesterday.

Writing on an urban fantasy thing with a narrative consisting of three pillars, the first being the regular narrative, POV of the heroine, set nowadays. Someone is abducted who shared a past experience with her, and a friend is shot but survives. They decide to look for the abducted one while seeking out answers to various questions concerning her past, the abductor and the abductee.
The second is journal entries by the friend who was shot, but set before the events of the main narrative, providing context from a past perspective, and the third one is POV of the abducted in a sequence of masochistic indulgence in being tortured by the abductor, a mysterious woman she has been drawn to for all her life.

I can't get myself to find someone to beta it, though, because my friends nowadays are all pretty sensitive young mothers and probably wouldn't cope well with all the sexy violence.

Also the main character is called Ildìko and I know it sounds too tacky even if it is a common name for a Rumanian, which she is, but I just can't rename her because I thought her up with that name...

Oh, and I *should* be writing my thesis instead.

So, someone asked me yesterday if I would be okay with them making fanart of my stuff. This has never happened to me before? Has this ever happened to me? Honestly, this just made me so happy and flattered. I don't even care if it is good art. Just someone thinking my stuff is good enough to illustrate makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

That's great! Someone has been so affected by something you've written that they want to expand the universe in some (albeit, small, but still extremely cool) way!

I've taken a break from (mostly) violent and dark smutfic to work on a nonexplicit fic for The Middle where Sue's first time isn't anything nonconsensual at all, but it's a far cry from the unicorns and rainbows she thought it would be. And when she freaks out about having been "bad" (in a moral sense, not at sex) Axl reluctantly saves the day and makes her feel better. In a totally non incestuous way.

I read that as a nonexplicit fic of Middle Earth where a Mary Sue's first time isn't unicorns and rainbows. I was wondering if Axl was some new name for Legolas.

Toying with a zombie apocalypse lesbian story idea. Except I have all these great thoughts until I sit down to write, and then... nothing. :/

My first fanfic was well received! It's gotten 90 kudos over about three days! I am thinking of adding more stuff to the end. I don't know if I want to write more, since I basically just wanted to do a great kink fill no one picked up. I don't want to write a lot of different stories, just things I would enjoy reading myself, although I realize that sounds kind of inane.

Original fantasy novel. Beginning stages. My first real attempt at a serious, original novel though. I'm kind of pumped.
