Captain Nemo... but less shit

(Anonymous) 2016-01-24 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Floowing on from last night (Thanks to the two people who offered suggestions)

I'm looking for something kinda odd... a bit specific.

So I started reading 20,000 leagues under the sea because I have a super submarine, high-tech hard-on at the moment and it's the go-to for that. But it's so fucking boring. I know hard sci-fi has these issues, but gah, so very technical and so un-fantasy adventure-y. Apparently it gets better but it's such a grind and it's kinda losing me.

So I'm now looking for something in an under water awesome adventure, less dry (no pun intended) better characters, more fun. Maybe someone with two X chromosomes to soice things up? Nemo seems fun, but I think I'm not supposed to like him, or I'm going to find out he's a bigger dick than he seems and has to be put down by the dull as recycled piss heroes of the story.

I did like the Alan Moore comics, if that helps?

I also liked the movie of the Alan Moore comic.

Whaddya got for me, folks?
