I'd say its possible but idk how common, or how much its like it is in the movies? Like... one of my relatives has ptsd and has talked about repressed memories, but the way they talk about it, they are completely aware they repressed stuff. Its not like they think or ever thought that nothing happened to them, they just have like, a mental block so they can't think about their trauma in detail.

idk if that counts to the discussion you are looking but that is my related anecdote
