The only times I've ever heard of actual repressed memories rather than "I dunno my mind's like Swiss cheese, I don't remember shit, maybe stuff happened or maybe not, something traumatic might've happened, oh well," it tends to involve kind of spectacular stuff that sounds fake and also therapists that don't seem interested in helping people and are more into selling books and going on talk shows and making money/fame.
