Taking it literally

[personal profile] herpymcderp 2016-01-27 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
How in the world would there be anonymity if you looked exactly like J. Law? I mean, everyone would assume you were J. Law, the tabloids would have a field day, and then when it eventually came out that you were a weird doppelganger/plastic surgery addict everyone would know who you were

Please stop taking it literally and understand that this is someone talking about their fantasy and so it probably works the way that fantasies generally work, IE not entirely rationally.

That wasn't even how I interpreted this secret in the first place, so I can take your interpretation however I want.

Herpy's just being obtuse and argumentative, ignore him.

nayrt but I assumed that was part of the fun, having their actions be blamed on Jlaw ... or like maybe they went back in time and took over her body so she never became famous but still somehow looked just like her movie character?

having their actions be blamed on Jlaw

Well ok, admittedly that's a kind of hilarious interpretation. I will now substitute it as the explanation for every tabloid article that's like "X is seen making out with Y!!" and then X and Y furiously deny the whole thing.
