Call of Duty probably. Although these days they're starting to lose me.

If Ghosts 2 isn't good I fucking swear I'm done.

These days it's Treyarch or get out, for me. I don't have Black Ops 3 but a friend of mine played it and everything he told me sounds completely insane.

It sounds like blasphemy, but I've always been into CoD for the story. Old IW actually had the writing chops to interest me, which is more than I can say for Treyarch (not saying they're bad, they just weren't - aren't - as good at telling a war story that isn't some kind of derivative).

Ever since the great disbandment and fuckery over MW3 though, IW hasn't been the same and the stories haven't done much for me. The most interesting concept yet was in Ghosts, and that was entirely due to how they ended the game (no spoilers in case you haven't picked it up). Otherwise, it was a real mess of the usual plot holes, inconsistent narrative and weird set piece jumping that really started with MW2 and just sort of blew up from there.

Although, being totally honest we'll probably purchase BlOps 3 just for the inclusion of spec ops missions again once it hits the price drop. CoD co-op has been one of the best aspects of the series, traditionally, and if it's anything like what they had in MW2/3 it'll be worth the money.

I vehemently disagree with you about Treyarch's writing chops.

I think we'll probably have to agree to disagree on this one. Some people love BlOps and BlOps 2 and think they're great stories... I can't help but recall that whole 99% thing and inwardly groan about their villain motivations.

Different strokes, though.

I genuinely have no idea what you're on about.

Aww, it's nice to see you two getting along.

The plot of Blops 2. But if you haven't played it, then it's understandably confusing.
