There was still that tired sceptical feeling of "you won't be as good as the original, why try". So now I'm cautiously optimistic to see how the current world will shape and frame a RH remake to be more with the times, but still in your face and catchy musical.

Eh, for me it's still pretty different.
Fury Road was MM #4, and the first three were not really a self-contained trilogy with a focused ongoing plot that had been resolved. The world was very open.
In general, when it comes to remakes I'm not terribly optimistic because I don't see the point in fixing what isn't broken. Though I am looking forward to the Ghostbusters one, because I think the movie hasn't aged so well, and the change of cast and everything actually looks pretty fresh.
