TBH, he didn't have much of a career until Glee and there's a good chance that Glee is all his career is going to be. He's not good enough (or a big enough name) to get big roles. Without the existence of Glee his career would have been featured ensemble with second cover responsibilities.

Aw, I used to be a fan. Those were nice days. I mean, I didn't turn around and hate him now or anything, I just don't follow him anymore. Partly because Glee just poisons everything (you can't even turn the radio on without being reminded) and because his behavior has turned me off for a while now.
It seems to me like he has a terrible management (out of all the Glee people, I thought he was one with the better chances of not vanishing...) that is driving the LOOK AT HOW STRAIGHT HE IS train super hard and has evidently taken over his twitter account (a move I usually would applaud other celebrities for) and just eh.
I mean, I believe it when he says he's straight. The people who don't won't be dissuaded by just blatant and clunky PR stuff and it's alienating quite a few fans who had a lot of goodwill for him (not because he's straight, but because it gets repeated ad nauseum, which is just not a good look and like WE GET IT JFC).

Sigh. I wish him the best, but at this point I don't care anymore.

But it's funny, as soon as ONTD pulls out their hate boner for him and blathers on about how Hedwig flopped (it did not), I go back to "Wait a second!"-fan modus for a few minutes. (Then I remember it's not that serious and walk away)

Why do they even say Hedwig flopped, cause he left quickly? Cause, they all have. Hedwig is a demanding as fuck role and most actors are there for a limited engagement.

Hmm, I haven't really been up to date with him - but he played a gay character in Glee for years, then Hedwig. I know in online fandom(but also from actual mainstream media) there has been a lOT of questioning his sexuality.

And as far as I know the dude has always said he's straight and acted accordingly.

I'm just going to guess he's really, really tired of it.

I didn't look at the fandom listing for this and thought it was NPH and got very confused and sad that he might suddenly becoming "no homo." Sorry it's Darren Criss doing it (I haven't noticed anything myself), but glad it's not NPH becoming self-loathing or something.

Having stumbled across the CrissColfer fandom before (Even Glee fandom, known for its more 'interesting' fans, was quick to call out the more ...concerning members of that fandom), I'm gonna say he's probably just getting tired of having to say it. If people didn't insist he was secretly gay with his coworkers and send his girlfriend so much hate (Although to be fair I haven't seen that fandom since like, season 3, they might have slowed down) he probably wouldn't be all about 'HAVE I TOLD YOU LATELY HOW MUCH I LIKE BREASTS?'
