I like Lily, but I think I am influenced by Jim Broadbent's Slughorn speaking so fondly of her. I love movie-Slughorn, so I guess I also liked a student he was so fond of.

I'm calling Snapefen trying to sound neutral. Go ahead and hate James, some people just cannot believe that shitty teenage bullies could grow up into decent people but Lily is nothing but a good friend until Snape shits on her and her kind one too many times. If you disagree with that you are a Nice Guy.

Sorry, but I don't think I could date--let alone marry--someone that had bullied and sexually harassed my best friend for years. And I am not inclined to think of someone who does such a thing as "likeable".
