I'd like to agree with this, since Steven Universe fans who're politically reactionary seem like a contradiction in terms and I honestly don't understand what they get out of the show. (Even MLP could be spun as reactionary if you really latched onto the high fantasy/old-school monarchist elements, but there's just nothing to grab onto in SU.) On the other hand, I've never seen them doxx anybody.

I know right.
Whenever I see a SU themed anti-sjw blogs I always go "???"
Like if you hate social justice, why would you ever watch SU to begin with? It promotes positive portrayals of lgbt people and has tons of diversity, which is soemthing most anti-sjw are infamously known to hate.

I may of never seen them doxx anybody either, but I have seen some threaten it on a daily basis lol.

This is probably a problem with the definition of "social justice warrior". I suspect a lot of the SU Anti-SJW blogs are defining it as, well, the sort of person who would attack a teenager to the point of driving her to attempt suicide and use her art as an excuse. Usually distinguished from "social justice activist", which is probably what you're thinking of.

I think there needs to be a term split between "SJW" that's just going "Man, isn't this queer representation fantastic?" Or even "Man it bugs me when people draw this canonly dark skinned character as a lot lighter than everyone else, so I try to support people who don't lighten them up."

And SJW that's going "You can't ship/like X because it's abusive! And pedophilic! And misogynistic! And racist! And *insert other buzzword that doesn't apply*!"

Like... BuzzwordFandomPolice? FanShamer?

Heck, like how there was someone yesterday in the villain thread screaming that you can't discuss villain origin plots because that's excusing their actions and blaming others and leads to victim blaming and rape culture.

That's pointless. SJW was already a term split--created to describe those self-described social justice activists/feminists who used SJ to bully others or to further their own agenda.

If SJW has already come to mean just "social justice activist" to many, then it's already caught in the euphemism treadmill--whatever word you come up to replace it will simply suffer the same fate. People will have a different idea of what qualifies and it will be used inconsistently, with some people applying it to everyone who discusses SJ related things.

People will start self-identifying with it and then clueless people who weren't previously familiar with the term will go "wait, why are you using that derogatorily? Those people just want to help minorities!".

If you think it won't happen with a term like "FanShamer" you're more optimistic than me. Because I've already seen plenty of people that will outrightly own up to shaming others--"Some people need to be shamed" is what they say.
