18. It's not because it's HET. It's because Gwen is a STUPID CHARACTER. I'm a Ianto/Jack shipper, okay, but if Tosh was getting it off with Jack? Or Martha? That'd be fine. I'd enjoy it. But Gwen is a flat character bordering on the Mary Sue and the actors have no chemistry whatsoever. That's why I hate. That's why, I think, most of us hate it.

27. Word. I just want the doctor to be happy. The show's no fun when he's not.

54. Listen, whoever posted 54: I know a lot of people who like to hold that opinion about the Harry Potter series. Truth is, I started reading those books when I was 11. I grew up with them. They're an integral part of my childhood. And they represent to me what, say, the Star Wars movies represent to Gen Xers. This doesn't mean that I can't give you a literary run down of James Joyce. So stop being a patronizing jackass and think of the cultural implications of certain media phenomena before you cast judgment.

64. Don Bluth was in charge of the Disney animation studio once upon a time, so frankly, giving credit to Disney for the Fox movies probably isn't too far off. They're basically Disney movies already- just as saccharine and just as historically inacurate. Animation is ACE though. :)

I don't know why people instantly assume they know why someone else doesn't like a paring. I think Gwen is kind of a self-serving psycho-bitch. Do you see the way see treats Rhys? She's a bitch, a crazy bitch, and even Jack isn't so hormonal he'd think she was the "pure soul" to fall for. Gwen is so badly and unbelievably written and imbalanced.

Mmmm, funny that someone would think Jack/Gwen is off for most ppl cos it's het. What homosexual-majority-oppressing-str8s universe do they live in?

Someone observed aptly that Gwen has a touch of Buffyitis, where the writers think more of her than the viewers tend to do.

Yeah, and that sikrit posted about HP is pretty elitist. Like, whatever dude. And they don't make a distinction between "fine literature" (however one may define that) and "emotionally moving literature" which is ignorant / classist / speshul beyond belief.

I think I would have appreciated emo Ten more if I hadn't tried to watch all of series 3 in a weekend. I came out of that thinking that something had gone horribly, horribly wrong, lol. Seriously, terribly depressed for a week.

But I loved it. I'm one of the classic Doctor Who fans who think this new series is full of win. There's not much about it I don't like, and I've appreciated all the companions. But yeah, my God, I am looking forward to the Doctor getting back to his ridiculous bouncy self. If he'd actually shacked up with the Master, my life would have been complete. Woe.

All of series 3 in a weekend! Yeah, that'd do my head in too! :O

Actually, emo god Ten in Voyage of the Damned annoyed me a lot. A little bit o' Rose rather than Random Blonde might have been a good prescription :)

I know! I don't understand that either- he shunts Martha to the side because she isn't Rose but if another blonde comes along, he's all over it.

I'm hoping Donna icks him back into shape.
