Thanks to sagekaley's total awesomeness because I could not find the quote anywhere/remember it, a scene from one of Six's audio dramas, "Medicinal Purposes".

Six: Ahhh, good morning, Evelyn!
Evelyn: Doctor? What are you doing?
Six: Tinkering.
Evelyn: Tinkering?
Six: That is what I am doing. You just can't beat the satisfying sound of metal on metal.
Evelyn: [chuckles] You're quite the busy preoccupied being.
Six: It focuses the mind. Besides! She likes it! Don't you, old girl? [TARDIS beeps] Ahh, you see? I swear she understands every word I say.
Evelyn: Oh good heavens. You talk of her as if she were a favoured pet dog or something.
Six: More like a constant hand to hold. She's always been…THE woman, Evelyn: [dryly] Oh? Thank you very much.
Six: Oh come now, Evelyn! I didn't know you cared.
Evelyn: Doctor! Behave yourself! [laughs] Well, I just mean to say…how's a girl supposed to feel when a rickety old blue box holds more attraction?
Six: This 'rickety old blue box' as you call her has been the old fixed point in my ever-changing world. Even my own people have let me down! You! My dear Evelyn, well let me down one day. [quickly] Oh not in a drastic way, perhaps, but you will find your own path to walk and you will walk it without me.
Evelyn: [mutters] Oh here we go…
Six: Companions…come and go. Some leave deeper imprints on my heart than others. But…you all go eventually. [softly, fondly] But not my old girl. She's the only one who shares all my memories.

I STILL NEED TO GO AND FINISH LISTENING TO ZAGREUS. EIGHT HAS THE SEXIEST VOICE OUT OF THEM ALL. ♥ But there is so much love for Six and that is the only true canon pairing for the series at that.

Oh, God, Paul McGann's voice.

You want good voice and creepy? "The Natural History Of Fear" has a lovely creepy bit where he's being all persuasive and evil and going "your government wants you to be happy. It wants you to be happy" and augh, voicesex combined with creepy.

Oh man. Thanks for posting that. I guess your point is more that the Doctor has the TARDIS and that all companions leave...

But you really just succeeding in reminding me why Doctor/Evelyn is kindasorta my OTP. Well, not in the ONE TRUE pairing, since, but defiantely my favorite ship. They just work so well together--I want to cuddle them both!

"Does he still stroke bits of the TARDIS?"
"Yes! All the time! I'm like 'd'you two wanna be alone?'"

Well, a part of it is that. But also his point about him caring for all his companions no matter how deep of an impact they may leave on him. The TARDIS will be, though, his one constant companion. ♥ :3
