50. I was a staunch Snape/Lily shipper by the time OoTP came out, and we were all pretty confident about how things had been. But seriously, I kind of agree with you. I'm not as upset, because our theories were vindicated, but I'd read so much fic where he was on the Order's side because he'd honestly chosen good over evil and wanted to save the world or whatever. It made him so noble, all the sacrifices for the cause of good and none of the recognition and all that gear. But when his only reason is kind of repressed and selfish...it makes it a little bit lamer.
DH was just a disappointment.

Refer to my response on 8 as far as missing the point goes. You want twins because you think the bond between twins is beautiful (and it is), and to express this, you want them romantically/sexually involved with each other as well.

GOOD GRIEF, FANDOM, WHY MUST EVERYTHING BE ABOUT SEX?!

I leap with joy when I see a good fic/art/anything that understands that there are so many different kinds of love and relationships and that they're all beautiful, and only a scant few of them involve sex!

Ugh.

54. I sobbed for half an hour after Fred's death. I was very excited reading the books, and I love playing in fandom. But by no means are they great literature. As a matter of fact, the last two sucked mightily. You can lose respect for me anyway, though.

63. Oh sweet pants, that's just sad. Post you art, person. Don't worry if you're not good enough or if there's someone better than you. Here's a secret--there always will be. No, I'm not being mean. You could be a bloody professional artist, and there will always be someone better than you. It just works that way. A poser? Because someone else does art of a pairing? And it may or may not be better than yours? No. Lametastic. Just post it and be surprised. Even if people do think you're a poser, you know you're not.

64. I do love that movie. I still feel a bit cheated about Bartok (and how the previews made it look like he was a huge thing, and then, turns out they showed every single one of his lines in the previews). But I do love that movie. I remember it's not Disney, but then I always attribute it to Dreamworks, because they did a lot of my favorite 2D's. Oops.

Exactly. Maybe it was naive to think that JKR was going to make a character she admittedly disliked into the noble man I'd made him. But I suppose that just means I have free reign to use "my" Snape elsewhere.

I know, you're right. It's a terrible attitude to have. "Lametastic," lol. Maybe I will post it, I don't know, I tend to have a bad attitude of things in general. Like, "what does it matter?" Do you know what I'm talking about? Hmm.... But it is just sitting there. Lol, well thanks for the food for thought. I appreciate your comment. :)

50. I like to think that Lily wasn't only the girl he loved - she represented everything he turned his back on, everything he'd have liked to be but wasn't. He did it all not just because he grieved for her, but because her death, and Dumbledore's lecture, opened his eyes to the horrors he was committing and he wanted to make up for it, wanted to make a world where she and others like her would be safe and happy.

...Mostly I like to overyanalyse and make myself feel better about characterisation.
