I'm fraternal as well, but I have met a number of identical twins. I have yet to met a RL twin that ever did the "two as one" anime twins always seem to do. I mean, no one acts like that. I'm fraternal, yes, but my sister and I have a strong family resemblance, and people would say we "look exact the same" when we were younger.

I wanted to punch them.

Seriously, as soon as I was cognitive enough, I HATED dressing like my sister. I hated it when people said we looked the same. Because we didn't. Thank God we weren't identical, or one of us would dye our hair or something, just to be apart from each other. It's absolutely NO FUN AT ALL being mistaken for your sibling. It's even worse being thought of as a set.

The relationship I have with my sister is just like a sister, but we happen to be the same age. The only reason we totally understand each other is because we've been together (often to our chagrin when we were younger). So we have a lot of inside jokes. The reason I don't have as many inside jokes with my brother is because he's two years older than me and hung out with his friends and not us as much. My sister and I have different sets of friends, though, even when we went to the same school. We're not a set, we're two different people.

tl;dr - I don't think of her as my twin, she's my older sister. Also, twincest is icky, but an equal icky to incest.

Sorry for ranting, but I feel strongly about this.
