I think the writer in this secret probably has more of a problem with change in audience than change in quality, if anything. I just don't think you can expect every person who liked your porn to also want to read your plotty things. But there will also be people who will be interested in the other stuff when they didn't want to read the porn. OP just isn't the audience for the new stuff this person is writing.
