My main problem with the Lame-y doll is that it was made by a guy trying to cash in on the feminist body positivity movement. Guys in the movement trying to weaponize it to get laid or get paid? That needs to die.

You do realize the CEO of Mattel is also a dude, right? And Barbie also exists to make money?

Barbie has had a long and complex history with female designers, marketers and executives (including, famously, Jill Barad) though, and of course was created by a woman (or arguably two, since the original dress designer Charlotte Johnson was hugely influential in defining the adult doll fantasy they were trying to sell.)
