The world is a lot bigger than "Europe", and if you've ever actually lived in Europe, you'll find they have all the racist crazy Bible-thumping conservative politicians that the US has. Additionally, we have had loads of users from non-European, non-US countries which are much more conservative yet, so there's that.

Not wing, leaning. It is centrist. Within what can be called the center, it leans to the right. Is that confusing? It isn't confusing to me.
