Do you have any recommendations for the few shoujo manga you know of with feminine love interests, OP?

(I like all kinds of male love interests, masculine or feminine, but I agree that there doesn't seem to be a lot of overtly feminine male love interests in shoujo)

Honestly there isn't much. :( I'm hoping some other people might have some recs! But for now, I really suggest the one on the left in my secret, the manga is called "Tenshi Ja Nai!!", it's published in English and I think there are 8 mangas altogether. The lead is a male living as a woman 'to pay the bills' basically (shhh I know, but this is shoujo anime we're talking about, suspend your disbelief!), working as a very popular idol/model. The female lead (Hikaru) discovers his secret, and is blackmailed into keeping it a secret. There are some moments I'm not fond of (the way Izumi (the guy) blackmails Hikaru doesn't sit well with me since it involves a semi-nude photo), but I was actually really surprised at how this wasn't a case of them just falling into one another's arms. Izumi comes to realize how much he needs her and not the other way around, over the course of them becoming forced-by-circumstance friends. Hikaru meanwhile has her own side story where she briefly dates a young teacher, who is drawn to her despite it being wrong. It's...quite an interesting manga, and I definitely recommend it. :)

I am also interested in the recs, so thanks :)

I'm wracking my brains trying to come up with really feminine guys... There's Nuriko in Fushigi Yuugi, of course. And some of the guys in Akatsuki no Yona are very long-haired and very pretty (and akayona is better than FY).

NA

Isn't Nuriko gay though, or like a straight trans woman or something? (I'm not being inflammatory, I could have sworn the character was either dressed as female or identified as female, and had a very canon crush on a male character?)

It's really complicated with Nuriko. He's living as a female not because he's trans, but in memory of his sister. And while he does have a crush on one of the other males, he also sort of has a crush on the female MC at one point? So bi I guess?

You're right though, that he's probably not the best example in this case.

Penguin Revolution has several characters who use disguises for work. One of the three mains is a young guy who cross-dresses for his job. It's very pretty and pretty silly.
