Anyway, people wouldn't expect it because I'm rather feminine and small but I love super violent Korean action films. The more grim, foreboding, bloody - the better. I can't get enough. I'm also really into Hannibal..

I'm really interested in dance. Can't blame anyone for not knowing that though, since I'm far too shy to dance in front of anyone, even if it's a mere swaying of the hips while doing chores.

That I'm a lesbian. I look super feminine, and don't have that nice "lesbian strut". I also never randomly bring up my sexuality and only mention it if it's directly relevant to the conversation.

Also, because I'm so feminine, that I do MMA.

Now y'all online here know this, but people IRL seem really surprised that I love baseball.

Some of it is the bullshit that women aren't serious about sports; especially women with otherwise "stereotypically-feminine" interests (mine include musical theatre and art). Some of it is that people know I'm rather bad at math (fuck you, I have a learning disability) and baseball is the mathiest major sport around. Or that I'm only in it for hot guys-- and lemme tell ya, for every cutie like Brian Dozier, there's a dozen fugly players like Clay Buchholz.

And don't get me started on being an Angels fan in Dodger country. :\

I'm dark. Like dark. I have the darkest sense of humor, I am fascinated by morbid things, and I occasionally entertain the notion that one day I can just snap and do really bad shit.

But I volunteer bottle-feeding puppies, and everyone who ever met me says I'm the nicest person.

That I'm a metal head. I don't know what kind of music people expect me to listen to, but whenever I turn on Amon Amarth I get all kinds of stares and 'I didn't expect that.'

When I lived in VA everybody always seemed so surprised that I knew something about basic gun safety. That's gotten better since I moved to SC.

I'm usually very polite and patient, and come across as kind...but hell hath no fury if I find out you're taking advantage of me.

I think a lot of people tend to believe that because I'm quiet and...I don't know if "homely" is the right word, but something like that, that I must be more conservative in my beliefs as a result. I'm not, though.

I'm also willing to engage in a debate if an issue I'm passionate about is being discussed. And a lot of people tend to be surprised if I let a cuss word slip every now and again, too.

Also, while it's not a genre I listen to as regularly as other ones, while I'm far from being an expert in it, I do like rap/hip-hop music. I don't think most people would assume that if they were to look at me, though.

I did poorly in school. I had terrible grades and barely passed some classes. I'm quiet and read a lot and really do like learning if I'm interested in a subject and I use correct spelling in text messages, so people always assumed I was a great student and got really good grades, but no.

I'm often angrier than people would think, again because I'm usually quiet and calm around people. I don't usually show it if I'm angry at people.

I have a few weird interests that people wouldn't guess.

My age. Most people assume I'm younger than I actually am (32) by about a decade.

Probably that I'm shy/get legitimately anxious if I have to cold-call a stranger/approach someone to ask them something and I don't know them.

Because I'm so outgoing with people I'm comfortable with, it's kind of nearly a 180 when I have to 'adult' around strangers. ._.

Sometimes when I'm alone, I put on the soundtrack from a musical and reenact it, because I wanted to be in theater when I was younger and more confident.

Or if I'm not feeling musicals, sometimes I put on some dorky pop music and dance.

For me to be as emotional as I am, I'm pretty reserved and quiet a lot of the time(especially around strangers) so when I do get emotional it can weird people out.

And because I don't dress a-typically feminine people can be surprised that I like make-up and doing my hair up nicely. Make-up's fun, I love eye make-up especially.

How passionate I can get in discussions. I generally have a pretty quiet voice but when I get into a conversation I start getting louder and louder and sometimes people are kind of taken off guard when they're not used to it. I hate when it's a conversation on something controversial and people decide I'm angry instead of just really interested.

Irl? No one expects the part of me that advocates experimenting with drugs (responsibly).

They always assume I'm the most straight laced of straight laced individuals based on my looks, but that's not even close to the truth.
