I do suspect that the varying components here (Christianity / monogamy and other life values in an incredibly idealized "old-fashioned" way / idyllic rural scenes) matter in different amounts to people.

But maybe that's just how deeply I would like to read something that was just the part about romanticized rural idylls and fetishized domesticity, without the Christianity.

I wouldn't mind that, either. I'm just wary of anything that touts "old fashioned values" because it usually comes off as a little... America, circa 1950, when women knew their place was at home, in the kitchen, and we lived in a God-fearing country, etc. etc.
