its actually pretty common for furries to not consider themselves furries. i know someone who went to the conventions, sold art to a primarily furry clientelle, designed themselves a fursuit, had a fursona, and had pretty much only friends in fandom... and they refused to call themselves a furry. i've been in the fandom for 15 years and i long since gave up any such pretensions. also, its kinda funny how people think furries are going apeshit over this movie when the only people i've seen talk about it arent in the fandom. i just came back from a fur con in january and there was no talk or fanart or anything. undertale is really big now, however.
