What do you refer to men who are interested in men's rights as?

MRA is not a content-neutral name for someone who is interested in men's rights*. The MRA movement is a specific thing with specific stances, specific sociology, specific history, specific engagements. Belonging to it requires taking on a certain amount of inherited positioning and worldview beyond just caring about men's rights.

*I think the same is true with reference to feminism and women's rights, for the record, although many would disagree.

I don't really know, I guess sometimes feminists depending on how they approach their views and conclusions? (A lot of the problems men face are caused by the patriarchy, the fighting of which is a core feminist ideal. If you accept that concept, it's not unreasonable to refer to yourself as a feminist regardless of gender.) And there's plenty of groups with a legit interest in criticism of traditional male roles, circumcision, injustices in the prison system, father's rights, etc. The problem is that even groups with good intentions can be easily hijacked -- bit like how feminism has to deal with people like TERFs.

All I know is that the "men's rights movement" -- at least as it presents itself on the internet -- seems to be centered around r/theredpill, MGTOW, RoK, A Voice For Men, r/mensrights, groups of posters on /pol/ (assume some overlap with the neo-Nazis who post there), etc. It's less about supporting men and more about supporting misogyny.

Credit where it's due, though, it takes a lot of guts to all wear the same hat.

Standing ovation. Completely back this comment.
