Babies Ever After is my least favourite trop of all time, and has ruined a fair number of fics, and indeed entire fandoms.

The fact that it's a sort of post-script trope has its advantages and downsides. If I'm forewarned, maybe I can avoid it by just stopping before the epilogue (not that this always helps for original works, where the fandom is all over it and any Next Gen stuff that comes from it). But the fact that it comes at the end means if it's unavoidable ('cause the author tied other actual need-to-know conclusion stuff in with it), it's just ruined something I already poured all that time into.

I *just* came across one of these, an apparently well liked Loki fic (well, the review/bookmark list was up there, anyway) and skipped right to the end to see if this Glorious Fic was worth it.

Babies.

Babies and gam-gam (or some other goofy name for grandma I can't recall) and what the fuck even I'm out

just...

fuck it's hard to find loki fic I can bear.
