What everyone else has said, pretty much. It's admirable that you can find your own way of seeing of them, but the large amount of these kind of characters, combined with how few "normal" gay characters there is makes them quite damaging for actual gay people in Japan. I haven't seen Tiger and Bunny, so I can't speak for Fire Emblem, imo the biggest problem is how they usually have no boundaries what so ever and continuously hit on people rightfully offended by getting a jiggling butt in their face, even if whoever they're hitting on rejects them.

Marion does actually fit a lot of the criteria for being genderfluid thou! I actually never thought about it, but he refers to himself as "big sis" at some point.

And you can play as trans in the game itself, so if you're interested in that sorta thing you should check it out if you haven't already
