What being a wo/man means

(Anonymous) 2016-02-06 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Define what being a woman/man means to you without mentioning physical attributes or gender roles in society.

I bet you can't.

I don't think it means anything, if we aren't talking about bodies or sense of personal identity.

Sure.

Being an adult of the human species, ergo not a child. That is a wo/man.

To me? It has no meaning. It's just the way it is.

I mean, of course you can't, because physical attributes/gender roles are literally the definition of 'what it means to be this gender and sex'. Your post lacks sense.

Not being a child.

Re: What being a wo/man means

(Anonymous) 2016-02-06 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
You're right. I can't. Because for me being a woman means I have the bits that women have and being fine with them. There's literally no other thing that matters. Not the way I dress. Not the way I style my hair. Not what I like to do in my free time.

Define what being a woman/man means to you without mentioning physical attributes or gender roles in society.

Being a woman means that you've been cursed by God for being gullible. Being a man means you've been cursed by God for being conformist.

I bet you can't.

I don't see why you'd think it would be an especially difficult task.

Every time I think you couldn't possibly be worse than Dethtoll you prove me wrong.

Don't you think you can do better than that manchild?

Not sure why you consider biblical gender roles to be exempt from being considered gender roles. They're some of the older arbitrarily constructed gender roles still acting on us today, in fact.

Gender is a social construct, that's why I think trans people are so full of shit. Gender doesn't truly exist.

Do you think people can have body dysphoria? Feel like certain things aren't suppose to be there or should function differently?

Pffft, semantics. Liking romantic comedies maybe. Or liking Twilight saga.

And physical is tied to emotional via hormones and to intelectual via brain and how can you leave physical things out even.

It's all in people's heads. That doesn't mean it's not real -- it's just entirely mental.

That's about it, though.

There is no set definition. It means whatever it means to each individual.
