Okay, I read a lot of BL/Yaoi doujinshi and the art is usually always gorgeous but every time there is a published BL/Yaoi you get those disgusting proportions and overtly uke/seme appearances.

Why can't they hire those doujinshi artist to draw the stuff that gets published?

I'm guessing that BL stuff tends to be lower budget. Done by single person, probably not paid as much. Plus, probably fewer artists are willing to go into BL since it's maybe got a naughtier stereotype (or because it's maybe not where the money is, should the series go mainstream) so you have fewer artists willing to pursue it at all?

But there are loads of really gorgeous BL artists. The Viewfinder and Crimson Sword series, as rapey, kinky and ~problematic~ as they are have seriously some of the best manga art I've ever seen. not just in BL, but in general.

But there are tons of authors and crazy diverse styles, so there's a lot of beautiful published stuff. Secondly, most published writers have also worked in doujinshi, so the published authors are also creators of the doujinshi you're talking about.

Lots of doujinka go off to become BL mangaka too, so you do get the occasional gem in that respect as well.

There are a number of doujinka who draw pairings I don't really have interest in or fandoms I'm not a part of and I just think "please please please start doing some original stuff because I want to drool over your gorgeous art...!!"
