Female trousers without pockets. It's not just jeans anymore! Even my sweatpants have sissy shallow pockets that aren't even deep enough to put my phone in! Why is this a thing that affects feminine fashion so much? I don't get it at all.

Me either. And if there are pockets, they're so small you have no luck putting anything bigger than a dime in there.

Fuck that, I have a purse! I want pockets for my phone and bus card!

Because deep pockets might make your hips look a nanometer thicker than they really are. And if someone thought your hips were a nanometer thicker than they really are you'd die of embarrassment. Obviously.

Protip: men's pants. I've never looked back. You can even get skinny ones, if that's your thing. The only difference is they'll be cheaper, better made, of a guaranteed size, and have pockets.

NAYRT I'm just the wrong size and build to carry off the baggy man crotch on men's jeans. It looks seriously disturbing on my frame.

You could always get them tailored. If you find a pair that fits very nicely otherwise, it wouldn't be that bothersome or expensive to adjust the crotch.

Huh. Hadn't actually considered that. Might look into that next time I need a new pair of jeans. Thanks.

I'm a man and I don't really want a 'baggy' crotch either.

I can't wear men's pants. I have a pretty pronounced hourglass shape, though I'm plus size as well. Even in women's pants I have issues with loose waists. That would be a lot worse in men's pants.

Same, in both shape and plus size designation. I've tried wearing men's pants, but the crotch goes almost down to my knees, and there's not nearly enough room for my butt. Even guys with bubble butts can't do men's pants, and I have a natural freaking bustle (only slight exaggeration).

For real, the only bottom I own that was made for women and has decent pockets are those style of shorts where the pockets stick out from the bottom of them. And honestly that's why I bought those shorts. Idk why that's the ONE acceptable way for a woman to have pockets now. :/

Yes. I don't get the lack of pockets in women's clothes in general. Give me slacks with pockets. Give me dresses and skirts with pockets. And not just tiny dinky pockets. A pocket where I can fit my wallet because I hate purses. Having a flat line is less important to me than practicality.

Because women's clothing is supposed to be decorative, and men's clothing is supposed to be functional. (Which is tough if you're a man and you'd like to dress decoratively, but that's a separate problem.)

As a man, I can only express solidarity: fake pockets on women's clothes are fucking bullshit, and I think it's outrageous that you're expected to put up with it.

All my trousers are home-sewn and I want pockets large enough to fit my extended hand in - or at least large enough to fit my phone and it's earphones in one, and bus card plus a handful of Lego figures in the other (I like being able to take "moral support" with me when I go out).

I know what you mean. I've had dresses tailor sewn for me in the past and I always ask for pockets that are at least big enough to put my 3DS in.
