Connected / follow up question: How the fuck do I stop my boyfriend from popping my zits?

I sort of want to pop my bf's zits, but he's horrified by the thought.

I'm horrified by the thought. it doesn't seem to stop him, though.

The fact that he won't stop when you tell him to stop is kind of creepy. Its your body. It may just be zits, but you have a right to tell him he can't pop them. They are yours and on your face, not his.

Zit rape?

Of course it isn't rape. But it is still creepy and still doing something with her body that she specifically asked him not to do. And I'd actually bet that he might ignore lack of consent in other areas too because this sounds like someone who just generally doesn't respect her body autonomy.

DA That's... an insane leap of logic.

Yes, kinda. NA, btw, but the way OP is talking about it, it sounds very much like rape. The man is clearly denying his girlfriend bodily autonomy. This kind of relationship is almost always a sexually abusive relationship. If he doesn't care about her consent about something small like spots, what is stopping him from raping her?

Ugh. My sister was obsessed with popping my zits when we were kinds. She'd always try to bargain with me. She was a big tattle tale, and the only way I could get her to not tell was to let her pop zits. I hated it.

My BF does the bargaining thing sometimes. Which is much better than when he looks me in the eye and says "I'mma face rape you now". Then he pins me down and "Mines my face gold"

It's not about a dude popping zits. It's about a dude popping someone else's zits when he's been repeatedly told to stop. Even if you don't think it's a violation of bodily autonomy (though it is,because it's not his body) then at best it's a dick move.

Swat his hand away hard and ask him what the FUCK he thinks he's doing? Tell him explicitly that you don't want him doing that, and if he tries it again knowing full well you don't want it, there will be a huge fucking problem. If he persists, don't stay in the same room with him, and frankly, I'd think about dumping the guy.

Reading your thread... this is weird and not okay. You know this, right? I don't want you think that this is a normal thing for couples to do, because it's not and you absolutely do not have to put up with it. If you've made it clear that you don't want him to do this and he keeps doing it, that's a red flag.

This thread is horrible. I don't know where you live but if you can prosecute him, please do. Dumping him won't be enough, you need to make sure other women are safe from him.
