What you ship could easily be considered seme/uke dynamics, especially if the fanworks you produce/consume portrays the uke as more vulnerable and submissive than he is in the source material.

But seme/uke things also often include non-con elements (the uke crying and yelling "No!" over and over and the seme just keeps going, the seme being all "Your mouth says no, but your body says yes"), but the mangaka still usuallyu treats it as a loving and healthy relationship. BL manga with seme/uke elements also usually portrays the uke as very traditionally feminine and childlike, and many fanartist like to adopt that when they write fanfic or draw fanart and writes one of the guys in their ship very out of character to make him fin into the classic uke mold. Those are two things that I really, really dislike.

"So does that make me - user of the word 'smol' - an embracer of seme/uke dynamics or not? Not that I really care either way. I like how I ship, I'm comfortable with how I ship, I have no concerns with how I ship. I guess I'm just curious what a hater of seme/uke dynamics (and the word 'smol') will say. :P"

I'm not sure why you care what I have to say? If you like the way you ship, go right ahead and keep shipping that way. Have fun! That's what fandom is supposed to be about! But I'll give your fanwork a pass since the shipping dynamics you describe is not something I personally enjoy in my ships.

I'm not sure why you care what I have to say?

I'd think it would be obvious. I've always wanted to better understand the term seme/uke, and official definitions for the term tend to be hazy and lack nuance, so asking people who like and people who dislike seme/uke dynamics is basically the best way to go.

Oh, okay! I read it as "I like this kind of shipping dynamic and also smol, so what do you think about that, huh, hater?" I've obviously developed a very negative way of reading comments related to certain aspects of fandom. Sorry!
