Agreed. The only trans headcanon that I've ever seen in one of my fandoms is for the feminine-looking guy, because a guy who looks feminine must really be physically female, right? Why couldn't the buff soldier or the cute girly-girl be trans?

YEARS ago I saw someone float the idea of SGA's John Shepard being a transman, and I thought that was pretty awesome.

See, I would like to see more trans headcanons like that, because those could be really interesting. I just hate how the ones I see are always so sexist and gender essentialist.
