Re: Childhood/teenage favorite fantasy worlds

A lot of my preteen/teen fantasies (partly played out with dolls, mostly imagined/written/drawn) involved characters who could either speak with the dead or go into Death and meet people who had died, usually in order to solve some kind of mystery. And it's not like I was acting out some kind of wish to speak with my dead relatives or anything. I was just a mythology dork and that kind of power interested me. There were lots of rules and rituals about it, and consequences if you broke the rules.

I didn't want the power myself, but I was really interested in it. I guess the same now. The power I'd want now is teleportation. Flying is too much work. BAMF'ing wherever you wanna go, whenever you wanna do it is the way to go. Commutes/errands are super fast. Weekends are unlimited global travel. Hell yeah.
