According to the lawsuit, Kenyon “was alerted by some of her distressed fans” in 2006 about Clare’s planned publication “of a work that incorporated [Kenyon’s] Dark-Hunter Marks”

Pffft haha "distressed fans." Those weren't your fans, dear, those were just Cassie Claire's hatedom. And yeah, those reasons for suing are ridiculous. They are literally tropes, like that other person in the article said. Neither of these writers is original at all.
