So, it's common to see Pacific Rim, Star Trek, Daemon, Sentinel, etc. AUs pop up in different fandoms.

What would you like to see added to this list? Something that would make an interesting crossover or fusion AU that you'd like to see applied to different fandoms

Digimon fusion AUs. More Digimon fusion AUs would be wonderful.

for the longest time, I imagined a kill la kill / vampire's assistant crossover. Works really well with the vampire hierarchy.

Still not convinced that Blade Runner, Aliens, Predator, and Avatar (the cat people one) don't share a universe.

Could probably work Terminator, Robocop, Escape from New York and The Warriors in there somewhere too.

Pokemon. When I was a kid I would fill notecards with what Pokemon teams I thought my favorite characters would have.

Pokemon fusions are the best. I love coming up with Pokemon teams for my favourite characters too, thinking about what kind of Pokemon trainer they'd be, what they'd want Pokemon for, what kind of Pokemon they would like ... I always spend waaay too much thinking about it.

I still have my card somewhere for that. But I only have the original 151 to work with. :(

Yu-Gi-Oh. Specifically, Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds.

I want to see all my favourite fictional characters playing card games on motorcycles.

I want to take the magic system from the "Wizard in Rhyme" series by Christopher Stasheff [reciting poetry or singing, basically] and throw it at any number of fandoms.
In a large part because I somewhat resent Christopher Stasheff for steadily making his books more and more overtly Catholic right up until I ragequit, and I want to rub my heathen hands all over his creations.

I didn't care so much about the Catholic stuff, because even though my parents were raised Catholic, I wasn't raised to any religion, so, for me, the religious stuff might as well have been just another weird fantastical element. I quit reading his stuff when I found the same damn scene almost word for word, used in two of his books. Not like a couple of lines, either. A couple paragraphs. And sung/poetry spells aren't unique to his stuff, there's the Soprano Sorceress series by L.E. Modesitt, which is even the same set up as the Wizard in Rhyme, except instead of a male grad student falling into a fantasy realm, it's a middle-aged opera singer, and it's a lot darker in tone. And I know there's others out there, just can't think of them at the moment.

AYRT - Oh, that does sound pretty shit. IDK, I think it was during my mid-teens 'violently anti-religion' phase that I started to become intensely aware of all the more Catholic bits in his work, and the more I noticed the more it annoyed me, and in the end I just decided to keep away for the sake of my ever-diminishing stores of calm.

I've never heard of the Soprano Sorceress series, perhaps I'll look it up.

I want to see rose quartz meet general Ross.

Even though I rage (well, more disgust) quit Once Upon a Time in season 3, there're so many awesome crossovers that could be done with it. My corner of the fandom seems to like non-magic AUs a lot more, though. Oh well.

Pokemon AUs! I love the Pokemon world and saw one with Gravity Falls recently I liked - it's fun to imagine what Pokemon different characters would have and what they'd do with them.

I always end up doing Battle Royale fusions, which is a bit fucked up, haha. Sometimes that ends up being a high school AU too, but it's useful if the fandom in question is already younger people.

I just really like thinking about who would survive longest and why, what alliances would be made/broken over the course of it, who might snap and just start killing, stuff like that. It's a bit heartwrenching, but I like seeing characters strained to the breaking point.

My first thought to this is Hobbit/LotR reincarnation AU in modern world settings, but let's face it, I am not currently reading in Hobbit/LotR, with RP being my main association with the fandom right now.

Teen Wolf. Werewolf fics have been enjoying some popularity lately, but they follow an entirely different mythology from TW. Even a lot of the ones that claim to be TW are fanon-based.

I've said this here before but I really want Jeeves and Bertie Wooster/Boardwalk Empire crossover. (Please don't kill or hurt Jeeves or Bertie, though!)
