That's interesting. All the online gossip I'd read said he was a diva on set, but not that he wanted off, and that Shonda killed him off because she ran out of patience with him. Curious as to where you heard he wanted out?

I don't remember specific sources. But I read several articles saying he really wanted to focus on his racing career and do new things and didn't really want to be doing Grey's anymore.
