I was a latecomer to the show, and I actually did binge-watch far too many seasons on Netflix back in 2013.

For me, I was able to binge because it was so emotionally overwrought. At the time, I myself was in an unhealthy situation (on top of being disabled). It actually comforted me that the characters were going through such crap and could come out on the other side with scars, but it didn't totally break them.

Now that I'm in a safer, healthier place, I'm content with watching episodes as they air.
