At least the ending was somewhat happy? It's still a horrible experience, but at least he's out of that situation.

I got the impression from the ending that the mother was going to get help now that the father noticed what was going on. so that's something at least.

But yeah, I was watching the Watch Girls Play LP of it and all of them just GASPED at that part. I think one of them started crying if I recall correctly.

Basically you play as a baby that's lost in this fantasy world and is being stalked by this monster and it turns out that the monster is basically the baby's way of viewing his mother who is abusive to him when she drinks.
