FS would you read this?

If you have any fics you're not sure about posting, post the summary here.

I have a story for a dying fandom. It's long and plotty but it was jossed by the last season. I really don't know if I should post it or not.

If it was one of my fandoms / pairings, I would read it.

Go for it. "Jossing" is overblown as a concern, I think. If it's canon compliant through Point X, label it so and don't worry. People understand that longfic might not be able to keep up with the source.

Personally, I think if what you're worried about is the plot and not the quality, you should definitely post it. Somebody out there will like it.

Imagine the Dark Brotherhood quest line from Oblivion (and maybe Skryim too but one game at a time okay), but instead of some asshole who just like, tripped and fell over a dead body and got stalked and harassed by a murdering guy in a dress, it's Sithis' avatar. As in, the actual Dread Father made flesh. He's a Dunmer, if it matters.

So you end up with this actual, honest to fuck Evil Jesus chilling with his cultists, occasionally going "well shit I have to help the Blades", etc and so on. There's a secondary plot of some other asshole possessed by the ghost of whosisdick the Divine Crusader, they hate each other, but it takes both of them to do the main story line (Evil Jesus can't do the Blood of the Aedra thing, Pilgrim McAbomination can't do the Daedra one, my notes there are still a major clusterfuck?), so they have to put up with each other.

This will get better as I detangle my notes, but the base idea is pretty much just Evil Jesus and the Brotherhood of Murdering Assholes vs Pilgrim McAbomination and his merry band of ghost followers, even though the world is literally falling apart around them. Should I keep detangling my notes, or should I use them for fire pit kindling?

I'd at least work on detangling and clearing out any confusing chaff; I'm into the elder scrolls stuff and I can tell there's something there that I'd read, but this summary is def confusing.

I might just be really, really tired, tbf. But hacking the Void into a physical avatar sounds like it'd be a kick to read.

The first four seasons of Supernatural rebooted as scifi and set in the distant future when humanity is dwindling and spread far and thin.

Depends. Would there be A/B/O? because that sounds like a great setup for it...

Nope. No ABO I'm afraid.

Yes, absolutely. And I don't even read SPN fic anymore. Youbcould explore so much and have a good time. Please do it, anon! I'll even follow/subscribe to your story for updates!

An AU fic with HP taking place farther in the future and playing with the idea of the Pureblood favoring Ministry of Magic holding the country back while the world around it chooses to move forward. Fudge's attempts to ignore Voldemort's return, by blaming Harry for Cedric's murder end up pushing the Order into hiding Harry outside of the country.

The Order gets new allies and starts reworking its plans against Dumbledore as well as learning a new way to do things, political clashes between the Ministry and other wizarding governments heat up. At Hogwarts, Neville gets a chance to step up and be the hero in Harry's absence, and many students across the school are divided by loyalty to the Ministry and to the rebel group Dumbledore's Army. Slytherin particularly is divided between those loyal to Voldemort and those who reject magic supremacy.

Sounds good but too busy. Maybe separate stories in a series instead of cramming it all into one.

Huh, good idea. Thanks!

Super plotty, sounds good, especially exploring other wizarding govts. Seconding the other anon in probably splitting the story up into parts.

Thanks. I'll probably shift a few subplots around and shift a few to the sequel.

Neither are finished but:

1. Half of a married couple has pretty bad depression, but it's from the pwrspective of the other half before, during and after diagnosis.

2. After enduring horrible sexual torture, a man distances himself from his life while secretly pulling strings his to nudge his wife into the arms of his best friend (so they can take care of each other, he thinks) and then kills himself. The friend and the wife do stay together.

1. No, but only because I feel like there's something skeevy about telling a story about mental illness (or homophobia/transphobia/racism/misogyny) and not have it be from the perspective of the person most affected.

2. No, because it seems unrealistic. How does he secretly get his wife to hook up with his friend? Seems they'd be more interested in helping him than boning each other.

Sorry.

I don't understand what's skeevy? It's not like people who are actively depressed are the only one who ever have a hard time of it.
