It's much more, uh, "Tumblr" than say, the Midwest or South. But when people like AYRT talk about "Applying an American perspective," West Coast type is the kind of "American" they're usually talking about, and they usually mean they were called out for some kind of bigotry that they want to pretend is only an American problem so it's okay when they do it.
