Plus he is a comedic reviewer and his schtick is to be camply over-the-top about Social Justice matters. A lot of people don't understand that is just his persona and gimmick to get the donations rolling in. Guy has to make his living somehow.

Why do you think that?

Met him at a con once, when he isn't "on" he is a lot less OTT about everything. The extreme calling out, and OMG OMG OMG stuff, is just something he keeps for his reviews and panel performances. I'm not going to claim he isn't a bit camp and concerned about SJ issues, but not anywhere near the extent he is when he is doing his schtick. It is his job, his viewers pay him for it, of course he is going to give them what they want.

He could get a real job.

Probably not tbh, any employer that googled his name would probably be leary of hiring him. Maybe not on the surface, but going deeper into Mark's work? Yeah, I'd not want to hire him. I wouldn't want to end up as another one of his stories that totally happened and totally connects to whatever he's reading/watching.

He's a college drop out, the only job he could get would involve the phrase "do you want fries with that?" which would not salve his massive ego.
