My mom used to put the headphones on her pregnant stomach and used Castle On A Cloud as a lullabye for me. This backfired on her as at age 9 I knew all the words to Lovely Ladies and sang it loudly in public/school.

Yeah my writing list keeps building.

I didn't see it quite that young, but my mum thought it would be a great idea to take us to go see it when the high school put on their production.

I was ten. :D

High-five! :D

Inappropriateness buddies! *high-five*

My mom took me when it had the Broadway revival when I was 14. I sang all the songs loudly while we waited in line. I just love this damn play.

I wish I could go see it on broadway! (Or any similarly grand theater tbh).

It's really fun, because me and my brothers all like the play, so we'll sing along together. Though they don't like to sing in public, so just car rides it is. :D

It helps to be on the East Coast of the US. Local theater can be really good too, though! I saw August: Osage County in local theater and loved it.

Yes, my mom and I used to pop in the CD on long car trips and split roles!

That's very true. I'm on the wrong side of the country. |D

Noice. :O

That's how I feel about Disneyworld... Broadway itself isn't that bad, but most of the cost comes from getting there.
loracarol: (nekkid people are funny)

I've only been once, myself, and it was a school trip. Twenty hour straight bus ride. -1000000000/10 would not recommend. |D

I rode a 13 hour bus ride to Canada. Shorter than your trip, but it left at 2 AM, I rode it myself, we hit customs at ridiculous o'clock in the morning while I was sleeping, that took a few hours, and also I was on Megabus so it cost me about twenty bucks and the seats were made out of AWFUL.

And then on the way back we got delayed. By like four hours. And then drove through my hometown but since the bus had a specific destination I had to ride it another two hours until my mother could pick me up in a mall parking lot. Would not recommend.

(...I was not trying to one-up you btw this is just my only bus story)

(Nah, I get you.)

That sounds awful. D: I don't mind buses per se, but long bus rides? Yeesh. We also went up to Canada, but we weren't on the bus overnight like with Disneyland. Thank goodness for that. :D

I was lucky because I had an extra ticket so I could put my feet up, but why do they have 'lean back' levers if they only move half an inch?

At least you got to go to Disneyland, though!
loracarol: (THAT SMILE OKAY)

Right?

And then someone messed up the bathroom, so we had to deal with that awful smell as we drove through California, and all it's heat. D:

I did. :)
