Well, I don't read actual bible inspired fanfic, or with characters from the bible. But I agree with the other part. :)

Sometimes in fics you have character A who is very religious and even though I'm an atheist I find it very inspiring. Which is kind of weird to me tbh. But when their beliefs are so strong I guess I kind of get swept up in it.

There's something to be said for the emotional power of witnessing someone passionate about what they believe in. This can apply to religion as well as secular issues.
