(Anonymous) 2016-02-18 12:46 am (UTC)(link)Maybe that's why I love it so much - there's so many characters and events packed into those 10 hours that with every rewatch I find something (or someone) new that fascinates me.
I think The Pacific and Gen Kill focuses in on smaller groups of characters, so it's easier to remember them. I don't think they were characterised any better than the BoB ones.

But then, GK was also pretty damn period accurate lol. In every sense of the hurry up and wait atmosphere of modern combat. That in itself probably contributed to ...well, having more time to watch characters just fuck around.
