Routine, yeah. Breast cancer runs in my family, though.

Runs in the family as in you've tested positive for BRCA? If so, you might want to consider options for preventative surgery if your health insurance covers it. The results have gotten very good recently.

I haven't been tested, but so far two of my aunts have been diagnosed with it (one died of stage IV).

Good luck! It sounds a lot scarier than it really is. Mostly mammograms are just weird and awkward.

Speaking as someone who hates medical procedures and being touched with a passion, I found mine way less uncomfortable than I was expecting, both mentally and physically. Good luck!

Had my first one nearly a year ago and it was nbd. Uncomfortable, but not as painful as I was expecting. It's over fast.
