I think a lot of the commenters must be new here. People have been posting about is misogynistic remarks for years now. I remember when people used to be outraged by what he said. It's really sad that people are defending him just because he's a beloved comedian and because he's gay. Equality will have been established when we can look at someone who is part of a marginalized group objectively and still recognize when they are being asshats.

You really should stop transparently posting all over your own thread to make it look like people are agreeing with you. Criminy, at least change up the wording.

I think everyone is overreacting about this on both sides. Yeah even as friends it was a bit of a douche comment but that's kind of between him and his friend. I'm pretty sick of twitter acting as the morality police. It gets more like the Crucible every day.

On the other hand, I really dislike Stephen Fry. He is a total pillock who thinks he's far more clever than he is and I'm glad he's sodding off to America.
