Yeah, gotta go with the "you don't know them as well as you think you do" camp here. Just because they're not white pointy hood wearing blowhards doesn't mean they don't find Trump's views sympathetic. That's very common. MOST people wouldn't dream of torching a black family's house or punching a poor person in the face. They'll simply support politicians and laws that do damage from a detached position, so it feels all clinically neat and tidy rather than personal. It's the difference between stabbing someone with a knife in your hand and taking out a target via drone.
