My feelings on yaoi are complicated.

Please, go on. I'm really, really, really, REALLY sick of the politics.

Well, on one hand I really do like the art in some of them - but the stories are often sort of thin, and I do understand the criticism about it being basically stereotypical gender roles but with two guys. Also some look child-like which irks me. And then there's the whole dubconish vibe of a lot of them, which I'm into, but I see why people have issues with it.

Mine aren't. Like they are the opposite of complicated. They are stupid simple. I like yaoi. Even when it's bad, I like yaoi. Yay yaoi.

I just read a bit of fanfic labelled 'Hurt/Comfort", and it was distinctly light on the "Comfort" part of things. Now I feel sick, and angry, and I want to read things where a bullied and abused character gets a public, comprehensive, and possibly violent revenge on their tormentors.

Watching the weather in a place you are going to vacation at is nerve wracking. I have never been as interested in weather as I have been right now. Hoping it doesn't snow with all the hope in my body. D:::

Is there still airline food? I didn't think they served it anymore. I remember flying in the 70's (in our church best) and getting meals, but my daughter recently flew out to NC and there was no food of any kind.

I got Biscoffs the last time I flew, but no meal.

I think I last was served a meal on a domestic flight (LA to NYC) in 2007. I had a small sandwich, bag of chips, and cookie. I only remember because we flew JetBlue and they served blue corn chips. I've gotten snacks/drinks since then, but never a meal. But I haven't flow all the way to the east coast since that trip; the farthest I've gone is Chicago.

Apparently, it depends on which airline you use, whether or not it's local, and a few other things that determine whether or not full meals are available. They all seem to offer snack foods though.

It depends on the flight, typically on the duration.

I've been on international flights where I've been served multiple meals included with the ticket price, but most of the flights I've been on within the U.S., they charge for meals or snacks.

I got a meal on a seven hour flight. Not a good meal, but a meal.

I spent the day with my puppy nephew*, and he seemed sadder than usual to see me leave.

*my brother & sister-in-law's dog.

Also, I got Jojo Moyes' Me Before You today and hope to read it this weekend, but I still have to finish the two books I'm reading already before I start another book.

Idk why I'm writing a medieval fantasy AU when I've never been too into medieval fantasy, which means I'm having to do all kinds of research

(I mean I do know why I'm writing it but. Research is hard, is the point.)

I wish I could be more hyped for the DCEU. I grew up on JL and B:TAM, I love the Nolan Batman movies (even TDKR has a soft spot in my heart) and rhe first actual superhero comics I read were DC comics.

But everything I hear and see from it looks so dumb. WW is the only DC film I want to see and I'm still mad they're giving it that whole desaturated aesthetic.

It doesn't help that I'm an MCU fan, so I don't feel like I can say this without coming across like some kind of butthurt Marvel zombie.

Say that you're driving in rush hour traffic on a 35 mph four lane road. You're doing the speed limit in the slow lane, but for whatever reason, the guy in the passing lane decides to go five below. This frustrates the person following him, who decides then to get on YOUR tail in order to get ahead. They are roughly a car length's distance or less away from you, and will not let up, will not use a blinker to indicate that they need to pass on the left, and will not adjust their distance in response to any speed YOU are doing.

Keep in mind you are keeping a reasonably safe distance from the person in front of you, and there are enough cars in either lane so it is not a quick task to change (lanes). In about a thousand feet, you know you will be approaching a traffic intersection where the light rarely works in favor of your traffic route.

The person behind you continues tailgating and shows no sign of stopping. You yourself cannot move without potentially causing an accident.

What do you do?

Do as you were and continue to drive defensively.

If it were more than 2 miles, I would change lanes or give them more exaggerated space to pass me.

Legion is looking really good and the artifact quests look fun. I'm even not that bothered by the garrison things, though I really REALLY hope they make sure that that isn't a be all end all thing like it was in WoD.

PLUS, NEW SHINY FLUFFY BIRD RAPTOR MOUNTS OMG. AND NEW POSSIBLE UNICORN MOUNTS, ONE THAT LOOKS TO BE FEL INFUSED. NEEEEEEEED THAT FOR MY WARLOCK.

Which brings me to, Demonology spec looks FUN this expac. "We heard you like demons, so SUMMON ALL TEH DEMONS. AND THEN BUFF THE FUCK OUT OF THEM."

Survival Hunter looks fun, too, which is making it very hard for me to decide what spec to play in Legion on my main. Melee hunter has been a thing I wish I could have experienced back in the day, but alas, I started playing WoW at the end of MoP. Marksmanship Hunter also looks fun, but I do hope the new improvements in these latest builds help it along more. A near 3 button rotation was kind of weak. But I wanna play it cause GNOME HUNTERS. I NEED A LITTLE ENGINEER MM HUNTER GNOME GIRL.

Ret Pallies look like they may have some fun as well, so I hope it brings back my SO into the game. He loves that class.

Did I mention mounts? They all look great for this expac! Though I feel like the Fox Mount needs to be a bit bigger. I checked my hunter out on it (she's a draenei) amd she's kinda huge on it. I'd hate to see a male Draenei or a male Tauren or Orc riding it...

Anywho enough rambling.
